Longfleet Friends understands you may not have a large amount of spare time on your hands. But whatever time you can provide it would be most appreciated. From bite sized tasks to longer term planning and organising, we need you! 

We appreciate any time that can be offered, we have parents who work full time, parents who work and study, parents who have young children at home, parents who already have volunteer commitments. We understand that we all have lives away from school and it's fine to say "no" when it doesn't suit you to help. We also understand at some events you want to be there to support your children not stuck behind a table serving yet another cup of tea - at these events, such as sports day or the summer fayre, we always juggle the work so that you can leave to go and cheer your child on.

Meetings

Come along to a Longfleet Friends meeting and learn more about what we do and how you could contribute. All are warmly welcome to attend our meetings. Planning meetings, EGMs and AGMs are announced via the school’s weekly notices email, on our facebook group and on the PTA notice board at the school. 

Events

Longfleet Friends organises and delivers a series of fundraising and social events and activities throughout the academic year where you can get involved. You can contribute to the planning and organising of our activities, help deliver an event or kick back and take some time for you and your family by taking part in our fundraising activities. All are warmly welcome. Every member has a skill that we need and can use, from graphic design to gardening; from events management to social media content. There are skills we don't even know we need, so what ever you can offer, please contact us.

We have teamed up with two suppliers - Stickerscape and Stamptastic who provide a variety of name labelling options in order to tackle the growing unnamed lost property mountain at school. A small percentage of each sale goes directly to the PTA.
