Life in all its Fullness (John 10:10)
The vision for our school is to promote excellence and academic rigour within a wider framework of spiritual, moral, social, physical and cultural development, which enables the children of Longfleet (CE) Primary School to flourish, so that they may experience ‘life in all its fullness’.
“The sense of life in all its fullness speaks something of God’s concern for
the welfare and wellbeing of those who follow Him. It reflects the outrageous
generosity of God who pours out everything for us. Life is there to be lived
and embraced in its fullness, which doesn’t simply mean that life will always
be perfect or joyful.
Surely the fullness of life is the ability to embrace the rough with the smooth,
the challenges with the opportunities, the dead ends with the adventures –
the fullness of life has more to do with the state of our hearts as opposed to
the size of our bank balance or our status.”
Reverend Jonathan Triffitt
Senior Vicar for the Diocese of Salisbury
Be Kind – always be respectful, responsible and considerate
“Do not let kindness and truth leave you: bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart." (Proverbs 3:3)
Be Aspirational – always try your best, be positive and strive for excellence
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Be Resilient – always relish a challenge and show bouncebackability
“When I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” (Micah 7:8)
At Longfleet, all our staff and children believe our vision and values are at the core of all we do.
Our values are integrated within our behaviour policy and we showcase examples of our vision and values in action from our children within the classroom.
Each term we have a “Values Day”, where we work off timetable to allow us to focus on one of our school values.
