Year 6 have had an amazing day thinking about, and celebrating, the end of World War 2. Activities in the morning included a workshop run by Poole Museum, a jive lesson, and creating party bunting and decorations.
In the afternoon we enjoyed a street party with all our friends. The children had been very busy preparing jam sandwiches and homemade lemonade which was shared during the festivities. We listened to Churchill’s speech declaring Germany’s surrender, sang the National Anthem and performed our dances to our parents.
We would like to thank the children, parents and staff for their efforts in dressing up and contributing to the feast!
