On Monday 25th November, Year 5 had a lot of fun learning about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. We learnt about battles, games, rituals and how they dressed.
The activities included:
We asked for comments from the Eagles…here are what some of them said:
Neve, “It felt like we were really them.”
Mia, “I enjoyed recreating the characters.”
Ethan, “I enjoyed the acting.”
James, “I loved the stories.”

Well done to our Year 3 and 4 netball teams who had their first matches against Hamworthy Junior School this week. Despite both teams narrowly losing, they looked very stylish and displayed some excellent footwork and defence skills.
As ever, all the children represented our school with excellent sportsmanship and are now even more motivated to improve for next time.
Tonight we had the New Barn meeting for the Year 3 residential in April 2020. The presentation is on the Year 3 page, under Learning and then Year Group Pages.
Lytchett Minster School kindly donated their 3G pitch so we could hold the rearranged festival (postponed from October). Teams from Courthill Infants and Upton Infants were also in attendance and all three schools seemed to be a good match, with excellent tackling, dribbling and passing throughout the matches. Keep your eyes peeled for a Girls’ Football Festival (with AFC Bournemouth coaches) and another larger mixed tournament coming soon.
Longfleet’s Lions travelled to Talbot Primary School to play in a tournament against six other schools. Solid performances in all the six matches ensured Longfleet topped the group, unbeaten and with no goals conceded. The Year 6 team now proceed to the Poole Schools Finals, which will be held at Carter Community School on Friday 15th November.
