Longfleet Lionesses Victorious
Tue 19 Oct 2021Longfleet Lionesses first fixture for almost two years resulted in a victory against Baden Powell and St Peter's in the first group game of the Poole League. A quick start by Longfleet made it 1-0 (Poppy), but an outstanding solo effort by BPSP's striker brought it back to 1-1. Battling hard in defence and breaking quickly in attack, Longfleet soon controlled the game and another goal by Poppy, a sharp finish by Olivia and a breakaway goal by Year 4's Laila made it 4-1. An own goal at the end wrapped up the victory.
