  • Tennis Triumph

    Wed 16 May 2018
Massive congratulations go out to the Year 3 and 4 Tennis Team who triumphed at the Dorset School Games tournament this week! The competition was held in glorious conditions at Branksome Park Tennis Club and our team of Eloise, Alfie, Holly and Zayn played some spectacular tennis, finishing at the top of their group! As always, Team Longfleet played with skill, enthusiasm and great sportsmanship. The children had a brilliant afternoon and what a fantastic result to come home with medals!
  • Reception bus trip

    Mon 14 May 2018
Reception had an unexpected treat when they were invited on a bus trip around Poole with a visit to the bus station and bus wash.  This trip was kindly offered, free of charge, by Mr and Mrs Wilson, employees of Morebus and grandparents of a child in Butterfly Class.  The children had a wonderful time and the experience has definitely fuelled their role play and storytelling since!  Thank you to the bus company for their generosity in supporting our 'Out and About' topic.

  • Kwik Cricket vs Baden Powell

    Tue 08 May 2018
Year 6 travelled to Baden Powell School to compete in their first cricket match of the season. Longfleet batted first and had a solid start, with Olly in particular hitting some clean cricket shots.  Longfleet ended with 239, which was a good score against some strong bowling.  It was then Longfleet's turn to bowl. Some accurate bowling from Bruno, Olly and Jamie couldn't quite stop Baden Powell reaching the target and surpassing it, eventually winning by 6 runs. In the end a close game with some great individual performances and lots of positives heading into the tournament at Poole Grammar School.

  • Dumming Lessons Available

Mon 30 Apr 2018 Miss Wright

There is a space for a KS2 pupil to start drumming lessons this term. The lessons are on Mondays from 4.20 - 4.40pm. There are 10 lessons per term, with our peripatetic teacher, Rob Lacey. The lessons are taught in pairs and the cost is £43 per term, per pupil. Preference will be given to children in Year 4 or 5 as they will be sharing the lesson with a Year 5 pupil. However, if you are in Year 3, good at listening and have lots of enthusiasm you could be just the right person!

If you are interested in taking up the place please contact Miss Wright or the school office. If you are interested in drumming lessons but can't do the time slot we have available please ask Miss Wright or the school office to add your name to the waiting list.

    Tue 24 Apr 2018
Longfleet hosted a Girls' Football Festival and played games against Sylvan, Lilliput and Courthill. It was great to see the children having so much fun and Longfleet managed to score in all their games, including a 3-3 thriller against an energetic Sylvan team.
