Year 5 First Access Violins
All of our Year 5 pupils have been learning to play the violin this term and after just a few lessons they are already playing pizzicato (with fingers) and arco (with bows). They have learnt a number of pieces and are looking forward to recording a special performance to share with their parents in July. The lessons are taught through a combination of specialist input from Dorota Stenwak (our school violin teacher), video lessons from Jane Brewster (whole class violin specialist) and support from Miss Wright (who is learning as she goes and very nearly managing to keep up with the children). The Year 5 pupils all have their own violin which they are able to take home to practice on each week. Thank you to Soundstorm Music Education Agency for this great opportunity.
