On Friday 21st May 2021 the Longfleet School Orchestra gave their first  performance since March 2020. Following more than a year of social distancing, lockdowns, cancelled rehearsals and then year group rehearsals we are finally able to play all together again, with some measures in place to keep everyone safe. It was lovely to be able to invite a very small group of teachers to come and listen to us play and we recorded the performances to share with everyone else . Below the recordings on the orchestra page you can see pictures of all our orchestra members. We are very proud of them for their aspiration, resilience, hard work and talent.

Thank you to everyone for their dressing up efforts on World Book Day.  Throughout the week the children have experienced a range of book related activities including virtual African storytelling from a real author - Bemma Akyeampong.  We even had a mischievous visit from one of the characters in the 'Pirates Next Door' book and a joyful montage of staff and their pets reading 'The Great Dog Bottom Swap'!
