On Friday, the boys from Netball Club took part in two friendly matches against St Joseph's School.
One of the teams won 7-2 and the other narrowly lost 4-5. Both games were excellent to watch and the boys showed brilliant sportsmanship throughout.
The games were such a success that we are organising an away fixture for rematches!
Longfleet took ten children to Parkstone Grammar School to participate in a multi-skills festival. This included activities such as "skittles", tennis ball balance, cross the river and speed bounce. Each of the events was introduced by a Parkstone Grammar Sports Leader, who energised and enthused the children to do their best. Resilience was on show throughout and our children look forward to their next event representing Longfleet.
On Monday 25th November, Year 5 had a lot of fun learning about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. We learnt about battles, games, rituals and how they dressed.
The activities included:
We asked for comments from the Eagles…here are what some of them said:
Neve, “It felt like we were really them.”
Mia, “I enjoyed recreating the characters.”
Ethan, “I enjoyed the acting.”
James, “I loved the stories.”

Well done to our Year 3 and 4 netball teams who had their first matches against Hamworthy Junior School this week. Despite both teams narrowly losing, they looked very stylish and displayed some excellent footwork and defence skills.
As ever, all the children represented our school with excellent sportsmanship and are now even more motivated to improve for next time.
