Longfleet travelled to St Edward’s School to participate in a multi-skills event with 5 other local schools. The activities included basketball dribbling; aiming at cricket stumps; football dribbling; netball shooting and tennis games. All of these were played in a great spirit, with the St Edward’s Sports Leaders showing a fantastic example to our children. Although not deemed competitive...Longfleet managed to pull off a victory with a mammoth 480 points. Well done to all the children involved.

Yesterday, our Windsurfing and Sailing club went for their second lesson at Rockley in Poole Park. Despite the windy condidtions, the children all did really well. The sailors practised sailing a course on a beam reach while the windsurfers practised tacking.

Tuesday was the first Longfleet Windsurfing and Sailing Club where the children are working towards their Stage 1 windsurfing or Stage 2 sailing. They had an excellent time developing their skills at the Rockley centre in Poole Park. They showed our school values of resilience and asipiration and are looking forward to next week's session!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather at Rockley today! The children took part in the watersports activities that they didn’t try on Wednesday. These included windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. 

 

We have had a brilliant week and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Last night we went down to the beach for our evening entertainment which included crabbing and Kwick Cricket. 

 

Today, our day trippers joined us for a brilliant day sail to Arne. It was windy so we got to have fun going quickly and everyone got very wet (including the teachers). We were really lucky and even saw two seals! 

Today has been a very busy day at Rockley - Group B came to join us! We participated in a variety of activities including: beach games, football, basketball, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing!!! 

 

Group B are settling into their rooms before dinner and evening entertainment.
